1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to KakeiboFlow. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KakeiboFlow application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by KakeiboFlow ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

KakeiboFlow is a personal finance and budgeting application based on the Japanese Kakeibo method of mindful spending. The Service provides:

• Budget tracking and management using the 30/20/20/30 framework
• Income and expense recording

• AI-powered budget forecasting

• Daily journaling for financial reflection
• Transaction import capabilities

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

5. Financial Disclaimer

The Service, including any AI-generated forecasts, insights, or recommendations, is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional financial advice or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any investment.

5.2 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• All financial decisions you make
• The accuracy of data you enter into the Service

5.3 AI Forecasting Limitations

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by KakeiboFlow and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

This includes but is not limited to:

• The KakeiboFlow name, logo, and branding
• Software code and algorithms
• User interface design and visual elements
• Documentation and help content
• The 30/20/20/30 framework implementation as presented in our Service

6.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

6.3 Kakeibo Method

The Kakeibo budgeting method itself is a traditional Japanese practice in the public domain. Our implementation, interface, and specific features built around this method are proprietary to KakeiboFlow.

7. User Content

7.1 Your Content

"User Content" refers to any data, text, or information you enter into the Service, including financial data, journal entries, goals, and notes.

7.2 Ownership

You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

7.3 Your Responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the right to use any content you provide
• Your content does not violate any third-party rights
• Your content does not contain illegal or harmful material

7.4 Data Export

You may export your financial data from the Service at any time using our data export features. We recommend maintaining your own backups of important financial records.

8. Subscriptions & Payments

8.1 Free and Paid Features

KakeiboFlow offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Some features may be limited or unavailable in the free tier.

8.2 Subscription Terms

If you purchase a subscription:

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Prices are subject to change with notice
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees

8.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

• You will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period
• No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods
• Your account will revert to free tier access after the billing period ends

8.4 Refunds

Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, please contact our support team within 14 days of your purchase.

9. Termination

9.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in your settings or by contacting us. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
• We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• Any outstanding fees remain payable

9.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

9.3 Effect of Termination

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure

• Warranties that defects will be corrected

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or expectations. Any reliance on the Service is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

KakeiboFlow, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or data
• Financial losses resulting from decisions made using the Service
• Cost of substitute services
• Business interruption
• Any other intangible losses

Our total liability for any claims arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KakeiboFlow and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from:

• Your use of and access to the Service
• Your violation of any term of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property rights
• Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will try to resolve disputes within 30 days of receiving notice.

13.2 Arbitration Agreement

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that:

• You may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify
• Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations

13.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions.

13.4 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

• Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

15. General Provisions

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and KakeiboFlow regarding the Service.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

15.5 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or government actions.

15.6 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
